Pet-Friendly Bel Air
If your pet needs emergency care, the Animal Emergency Hospital provides 24-hour emergency service. There are vets on staff experienced in small mammal and bird care as well as cats and dogs.
This veterinary clinic comes to you! This helps to create a less stressful environment for your pet. They offer wellness plans to make veterinary visits more accessible and easy for all involved.
The Animal Medical Center offers services like allergy testing and home visits. Hydrotherapy and laser therapy are available to animals who have been injured, have undergone surgery, or who are suffering from chronic pain.
This is a cat-only clinic that provides preventative and wellness care, dental procedures, and dietary and behavioral counseling.
Your dog can play off-leash at the Ma & Pa Dog Park located near the entrance of the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail. There are separate areas for large and small dogs. Dogs are allowed on the trail but must be leashed.
This specialty shop offers grooming services, along with collars, treats, and specialty pet products.
This pet supply store is locally owned and independent. They offer self-serve pet washing, walk-in nail trims, and nutrition advice. For regular customers, they offer a Frequent Feeder program that allows you to earn discounts.
Independently owned, Baron’s carries a variety of high-quality food brands, herbal remedies, supplements, toys, and other pet supplies. Online shopping is available.
There are 6 dog-friendly tables available at Naughty Dogs. Their menu offers a large variety of from-scratch items from Chicago-style hot dogs to Caribbean Jerk tuna bites.

We love Bel Air because it’s close to the city without having to deal with the crowds. It offers all the amenities a pet owner needs… and more! In Bel Air, you’ll find beautiful neighborhoods to walk in, access to great hiking trails, and pet-friendly restaurants where you can grab a bite with your furry pal.

Pet-Friendly Forest Hill
Rock Spring services cats, dogs, and exotic pets. They offer services like chemotherapy, endoscopy, digital radiology, and dental.
Offering services since 1982, this practice offers general health care, dental treatments, preventative health care, diagnostics, and more.
This is the go-to 24-hour veterinarian in Harford County. Just minutes away in Bel Air if your pet needs immediate medical care after hours, they will provide critical care, treatment, and diagnosis. They also accept referrals for specialty procedures that may be needed.
This dog groomer works with you to keep your dog for as short a time as possible, to keep them stress-free at their visit. Accommodations are made for dogs that do not respond well to being caged. Express service is offered for those on a tight schedule.
Full-service grooming is offered by appointment, or you can walk in and use the self-service facilities. Pricing is based on your dog’s size.

Near one of the Entrances to the Ma & Pa Trail, this is a fenced-in area for unleashed dogs to play. There are separate areas for large and small dogs.
This park features ball fields, a creek that supports a variety of wildlife, and an entrance to the Ma & Pa trail. Perfect for taking your dog out for a leash walk!
You can enjoy one of the craft beers on tap in the company of your dog. There is live music and a rotation of food trucks to enjoy.

We love how family-friendly and safe it is in Forest Hill. There is always nature to explore and lots of opportunities to get out and about with your dog. We love the diverse community and the warm, welcoming feeling of this beautiful town.

Abingdon truly has the best of everything… trails to hike with your dog, easy access to amenities, and it’s just a hop skip and a jump to the big city. You can enjoy the peace of small-town living without having to sacrifice the convenience of city living.
Pet-Friendly Abingdon
The vets at Chadwell provide wellness services to dogs and cats as well as exotic animals. In addition to the standard veterinary care they offer, they take in injured wildlife before handing them to rehabilitation facilities.
If your pet is in need of immediate care, this is your resource in Harford County. They are open 24 hours so your pet can be treated or diagnosed after regular hours.

Check out this specialty pet store offering fresh, natural dog and cat food. Their ingredients are locally sourced from Harford County.
This is a 4-acre park with a 1-mile walking trail leading to the off-leash area.
With your dog by your side, you can explore the extensive trails running through this research preserve. Be sure to keep your dog on a leash and on the trail to protect the wildlife and the research areas being studied.
This hike is a 1.5-mile loop. It is appropriate for beginners, and leashed dogs are allowed. Be sure to clean up after your dog.

Pet-Friendly Fallston
Serving the area for 3 generations, the Pleasantville Animal Hospital provides health and wellness services for dogs and cats. In addition to wellness and preventative medicine, they provide radiography, orthopedic surgery, and dental exams.
Just an 8-minute drive from Fallston, the Ma & Pa Dog Park is an off-leash play area for dogs. It is located near the Harford County Equestrian Center, near the Bel Air end of the Ma & Pa trail.
This is a 5.4-mile loop of moderate difficulty. The Pleasantville Loop connects to Gunpowder State Park and has a view of the river. Dogs are welcome on the trail provided they are kept leashed.
Scratch and Sniff is a locally owned pet supply store that carries several well-known brands of all-natural pet food in nearby Jacksonville. There is a self-service dog wash on-site with tubs that can handle dogs up to 230 lbs. Nutritional counseling and local delivery are also available.
For your dog’s grooming needs, try this pet spa that is open to all breeds of dogs and cats. Their services include baths, conditioning, nail trims, anal gland expression, safe hair dyeing, and Furminator treatments. A bandana is included with every service.
Visit Black Forest Taphouse for pub-fare modeled after a German Biergarten… served in a dog-friendly atmosphere. Owners can dine with their dogs on the outdoor patio.
If you are in search of training classes for your dog, you can sign them up at the Harford County Humane Society’s Canine College. Discounts are offered on classes for dogs adopted from the HCHS. The Humane Society also provides lost and found services and has a pet food pantry on-site.

We love Fallston because the slower place gives you time to stop and smell the roses! Fallston has a rural feel, while still maintaining the dog-friendliness of the rest of the Bel Air area. We love the access to hiking trails and the peaceful setting.

We love the quaint old feeling of Churchville. The beautiful old homes and the surrounding countryside make you forget that you are only a few minutes away from a major city. It’s a great place for quiet living with your dog, with close proximity to the trails in other areas of Harford County. The amenities available nearby make Churchville a great place to live and visit.
Pet-Friendly Churchville
Churchville Veterinary Clinic provides general wellness care, like dental exams, flea and parasite protection, and vaccinations. They also perform surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and provide behavioral services.
For emergency veterinary care, your closest 24- hour emergency clinic is the Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air. They provide emergency care to dogs, cats, birds, and some reptiles.
Mission is a locally owned pet supply store that specializes in natural food and sustainable supplies for dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. They are located in Whiteford, a quick 18-minute drive from Churchville, but online ordering is also available with offer shipping to residents of Harford County.
Pet Nirvana is a large independent pet supply store in nearby Bel Air. They carry dog, cat, small animal, and bird supplies. They also have a selection of CBD and hemp supplements.
You can take your dog out to enjoy the paved walking trail as long as they are kept on a leash. This trail is just under 1.2 miles in length and is an easy walk.
For pet-friendly dining, try JD’s Smokehouse North. This bar and grill is family-owned and operated, serving bbq and a selection of craft beers.

We love that Belcamp has that small town feel but is still only a hop, skip, and a jump from Baltimore. The neighborhoods are absolutely perfect for walking your dog and stretching your legs.

A part of the community since 2010, Creswell Veterinary Clinic provides wellness exams and standard veterinary care for cats and dogs. In addition to spays and neuters, their surgical practice includes the use of cryotherapy to remove growths from the skin.
Chadwell Animal Hospital provides care for cats and dogs as well as exotic pets. Their extensive services include endoscopic procedures and exotic animal dental exams. In addition to wellness and preventative care for pets, they provide care for injured wildlife before transferring them to rehabilitation facilities.
For immediate care and after-hours emergencies, the Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air is your closest resource. They triage, provide critical care, and are open 24 hours.
The largest independent pet supply store in Harford County has a Belcamp location. They carry all-natural dog, cat, and bird food, as well as CBD and hemp supplements. They also provide full-service grooming and a self-service pet wash.
Bynum Run is a small park with an asphalt trail, great for taking a leisurely walk with your dog.

Pet-Friendly Jarrettsville
This is a full-service veterinarian that offers wellness programs, spaying, neutering, health screenings, medicated baths, and other essential medical care.
If you have a pet emergency, the Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air is your closest 24 hour clinic. They provide critical care, diagnostic imaging, emergency services, and other time sensitive interventions that your pet may need.
This small animal clinic provides wellness and preventative care, along with imaging services, dental cleanings, and some surgical procedures.
JES is a local groomer with over 20 years experience. They have experience working with anxious dogs and other dogs that have special needs. They offer baths, haircuts, nail trims and painting, and anal gland expression.
This is a family-owned pet supply store that carries cat, dog, and reptile supplies, along with some fish and pond products. They offer in-store pickup, and if you live within 10 miles, delivery is available.
There are 3.5 miles of hiking trails in this 855 acre state park. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash of 6 feet or less and all messes are picked up. Rocks State Park is home to Kilgore Falls and the King and Queens Seat.
There are 118 acres of natural landscape and hiking trails combined with Maryland history here! Dogs are allowed on the trails as long as they stay on leash. Trail difficulty ranges from easy to hard.
