About Your Pet AuPair
Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m the owner-operator of Your Pet AuPair. I’m cat mom to Violet & Ivy AND Mimi (that’s my grandma name) to my daughter’s dog, Daisy Mae.
I’ve lived in Harford County for most of my life and have almost always shared my home with cats & dogs. I’ve always had a very strong connection with most animals, but it wasn’t until Daisy Mae came into my life that I realized how important that connection was to me.
Pet care is my calling. I wake up every day excited about all of the fur friends that’ll greet me (with some sits & a whole lotta wiggles!)
This isn’t just a hobby for me. This is my life’s work. But I certainly couldn’t do it without my team. Say ‘hello’ to the YPA team! Every member undergoes rigorous training and is CPR & First Aid Certified cause really… safety is our love language!

Even when you’re away, your pet deserves the same level of thought & care. Our mission is to provide your pet with a totally personalized experience. That means tending to their basic needs like potty breaks and water refills. But it ALSO means going above & beyond. Mental and physical stimulation are so important for a happy, well-balanced pet. Knowing more about your pet’s personality, we customize their care so that we’re fully meeting their needs.
Playful pup? We’ve got ya!
A little shy? No problem!
Need to stick to a regular routine? That’s our jam!
Whatever their needs, we’re totally prepared.
This unique Your Pet AuPair approach leads to happy, healthy, and relaxed pets. And as pet parents ourselves, we know just how valuable that is!

Kim
Hi! I'm Kim and I'm so happy to become part of Your Pet AuPair! A little about myself: of course I've always been an animal lover, that goes without saying! I worked 4 years at a Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinarian Tech, and eventually expanded my duties to become a Boarding and Grooming Supervisor. I have training in caring for hospital boarders and animal behavior.
I have shared my home with a vast menagerie of pets over the years and now look forward to walking yours!
Rae
Hi, I'm Rae! I love hiking, traveling with my Fiancé, and our four cats! I've been in the Pet Care industry since I was 19, but I've been an animal lover my whole life. I grew up with a dog by my side, and more recently, cats too! I've even had a family of Rats, as well as Red Eared Sliders, and Guinea Pigs.
No matter how small, or big the pet is, I will love them all the same. I can't imagine a life without animals by my side, I took a break from dog walking for two years and missed it so very much. There's no replacement for those wagging tails and smiling faces! I'm so happy to be back and I can't wait to meet all of your pets!
Haley
Hi there! I'm Haley and I've lived in Bel Air just about my whole life. I own a Blue Nose American Pitbull Terrier and a Cocker Spaniel; Flintstone & Spanky.
I love to be outside working or with my boys playing fetch! My parents own a landscaping company and I've worked with them since I was 15. I have grown up with all types of pets around me. I've taken care of cats, birds, chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs, horses, lizards, snakes, I really could go on and I absolutely love every single dog! No matter how big, small, or goofy; you name it and I love it.
I've had some experience with disabled (blind & deaf) animals as well and I have house/pet sat for family friends for many years! I'm so very excited to meet your pets and love them like they're family!
Melanie
Hi, I'm Melanie. A lifelong animal lover, I am currently the pet parent of 3 fabulous kitties; Phineas, Lucy, and Elliot. In the past we have been happy to call dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters a part of our family. I have volunteered as a dog walker in the past with the Humane Society and am currently a foster parent for Best Friends in Harford County. I look forward to working with you and your pets!
When I'm not working with animals, I am an independent agent for a small family-owned travel agency called A Scoop of Magic.
Jules
Hi, I'm Jules!
I have an extensive history with a variety of animals. Outside of this job I'm a breeder-owner-handler of Cardigan Welsh Corgis. I play at various dog things like conformation dog shows, obedience, rally, tricks, fast CAT, nose work, and herding. I have worked in large kennels of 20+ show dogs of various breeds and I also have experience helping out with rescue work, reactive dogs, and other special needs dogs.
I grew up in rural northern Maine in a house with dogs, cats, tropical and saltwater fish, various rodents, a handful of reptiles, and an aviary with approximately 200 small and medium birds. I also have experience with chickens and farm rabbits (as opposed to pet rabbits - I don't know anything about pet rabbits, lol).
Oliver
Hi! I'm Oliver. My family has recently settled here in Harford after living all over the south. We're very excited to put down roots in the area!
I've lived with dogs my whole life. I had two American Eskimos growing up, and currently we have two big dogs, Barristan, a Australian cattle dog/shepherd mix and Lola, a Great Pyrenees/English Shepherd mix. These dogs are my whole world and have watched me grow into the adult I am today. I couldn't imagine life without my furry companions by my side.
I'm very excited to meet, love, and care for your four legged family members!

Dogs have always been in my life since I could barely walk and talk.I'm looking forward to meeting and caring for your pups as if they were a member of my own family.
Sue
Hi, I'm Sue! I have lived in Harford County for over 25 years with my husband Frank and our adult daughter Haley, who is a Vet Tech.
We love pets of all shapes and sizes! We are currently the proud owners of a rescued Labradoodle, 1 Cat, 2 Parakeets, 2 Sugar Gliders, 40+ Pigeons, 6 Chickens and a pond full of Fish. There isn't much we haven't had in our home over the years. I have never met a fuzzy face (or feathered or scaly!) that I haven't instantly fallen in love with. I consider it a privilege to be allowed to love on your babies and help out in any way I can.
Katie
Hello, I'm Katie! Animals of every kind have been an extremely important part of my life since birth! My personal menagerie of pets throughout the years have included dogs (and puppies), cats (and kittens), birds, hamsters, mice, bunnies, and guinea pigs.
At age 12, I got my first job walking dogs in my neighborhood, which then morphed into house sitting all sorts of pets for friends and neighbors. I eventually got a job as a trainer and kennel technician at a dog training/daycare/boarding facility and absolutely loved every minute I got to spend playing with, walking, and training puppies and dogs of all ages and sizes!
I'm so excited to be back working in the pet field and can't wait to spend time with your furbabies!
Alison
Hi, I'm Alison! I have shared my home with pets for most of my life, and I currently live with my dog, Maysie, and three cats, Alegria, Sebastian, and Roxy. The pets and I also let my husband and three kids live with us. The first pet in my life was our mutt Lucy (or “Yucy,” as I called her for my first few years), who my parents had even before I came along. Animals bring such pure joy into my life, and I know I will get as much or more out of loving on your animals as they will get from me.
I also work part-time as an editor and writer and enjoy singing, reading, traveling, spending time in nature, and being with my family and friends.
I look forward to getting to know your furry family members and to caring for them as though they were my own!
Evan
Hi, I'm Evan! I have lived in Bel Air and been an animal lover pretty much my entire life. Since I was a kid, I've lived with pets and have loved every second of it. Currently, my parents and I are proud owners of six cats; the one pictured is Caramel.
I very much look forward to meeting your pets and giving them as much love as you do

I love to draw animals, especially snakes!

I have six myself, including two dogs and four special needs cats! I spend my free time with horses as well! I look forward to meeting your furbabies!
Dr. Shannon
I was born and raised in Arizona and always aspired to be a veterinarian. While I was working to get into veterinary school, I was approached by a fellow co-worker about pet sitting. She had a pet sitting business on the side and needed help. This is where I found my love for watching pets and their homes while families were away on vacation.
I have been in the veterinary field in some capacity since 2003 and I received my DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. In 2013, I helped launch the New Jersey Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice location and went full time with them in 2016. When I moved to Maryland in 2020, I decided to carry on my calling in end-of-life care to my own business - Eternal Pawprints Veterinary Hospice.
In addition to helping families and pets in their last years and moments, I have found that I still love pet sitting. When I found Nicole and Your Pet AuPair, I instantly loved her and her company. We are both Fear Free certified which means we take pet's stress and behavior to their environment very seriously. Her and her company's dedication to servicing this community is exactly what I am looking to be a part of. I look forward to meeting your pets and sharing in their cuddles and kisses.
Paige
Hi! I'm Paige and I am so happy to be a new addition to Your Pet AuPair. I am currently a student at Towson University getting a degree in Business Management. When I am not watching your pets, I am a grooming apprentice and kennel technician at Pleasant Pet Resort.
I have been working in the pet care industry for 4+ years bathing and as a kennel tech. I plan to put my degree and experience together to make a career of it!I can't wait to meet you and your pets!
